In this two-hour, one-time Serger Basics class, you will learn key skills and techniques for using a serger effectively.
Our studio sews with Brother® serger machines. Students must use our sergers, you may not bring your personal serger to this group class.
In this class, you'll get a complete introduction to using a serger, starting with an overview of its parts, functions, and safe operation. You'll practice threading the machine, adjusting tension, and exploring the basic stitches it offers. We’ll cover essential techniques like sewing straight seams, curves, and finishing edges, and wrap up with troubleshooting tips to help you handle common issues like thread breakage or fabric bunching.
Thursdays | 6:30PM-8:30PM
Previous sewing knowledge is required to take our Serger Sewing Basics class. No fabric or thread or tools needed to attend this class. This class includes all supplies.
Students will not sew a completed project a project in this class.
