In this two-hour, one-time Visible Mending class, you'll learn how to repair and transform worn clothing into something unique and beautiful. Instead of hiding imperfections, you’ll use creative stitching, fabric patches, and hand sewing techniques to turn holes and worn areas into intentional design details.
Learn the art of visible mending through decorative stitching, patching, and creative repair techniques. You’ll learn how to choose fabrics, plan your repair design, and use hand sewing techniques to extend the life of your favorite garments.
Students will practice techniques on their own clothing while learning how to transform everyday wear and tear into beautiful, personalized details.
WEEKDAYS | 6:30PM–8:30PM
Please bring at least two garments you’d like to repair or transform. Choose items with holes, stains, worn areas, or other imperfections that could use a creative refresh.
Students are welcome to use our collection of scrap fabrics, threads, and supplies to personalize their repairs.
Previous hand sewing experience and knowledge is required or students must take our Hand Sewing Basics class.
