In this two-hour, one-time Curves & Bias Tape class, you'll learn how to confidently sew curved edges, make your own bias tape, and finish your projects with beautiful professional-looking details. These essential techniques will help you take your sewing skills beyond straight seams.
Previous sewing machine experience and knowledge is required or students must take our Machine Sewing Basics class.
Our studio sews with Brother® computerized sewing machines. You’re welcome to use one of our studio machines or you can even bring your own personal machine to get better acquainted with it.
Learn how to sew smooth curves, understand how fabric behaves on the bias, and create your own custom bias tape from your favorite fabrics. We’ll practice making and applying bias tape to finish raw edges, add decorative details, and create polished finishes on your handmade projects.
Weekdays | 6:30PM–8:30PM
All supplies are included. Students will practice sewing curved seams, making bias tape, and applying finishing techniques to create samples they can reference for future projects.
