

MACHINE SEWING | QUILTING BASICS
In this one time Quilting Basics class, you'll learn key quilting techniques such as fabric selection, cutting, piecing, and basic quilting stitches. No quilting experience is required, but a basic understanding of sewing, such as how to operate a sewing machine, is needed. With hands-on guidance from our experienced instructor, you’ll complete a small block to take home. This class is perfect for those who have some sewing knowledge and want to explore the exciting world of quilting!
Our studio sews with Brother® computerized sewing machines. You’re welcome to use one of our studio machines or you can even bring your own functioning personal machine to get better acquainted with it.
Class Details:
You’ll learn essential skills to start your quilting journey. You'll discover how to choose the right fabrics and colors for your quilt, along with cutting techniques using rotary cutters and rulers for precise measurements. The class will guide you in piecing fabric together to create a quilt block. By the end of the class, you'll have a solid foundation to continue your quilting adventures!

Requirements:
Previous sewing machine experience and knowledge is required or students must take our Machine Sewing Basics Class.
You're welcome to use any of our scrap fabrics or students must bring their own cotton fabric to start their project.
