In this two-hour, one-time Ruffles & Flounces class, you'll learn how to add playful details and transform preloved clothing into something completely your own! Using sewing techniques for creating and attaching ruffles and flounces, you’ll give your favorite garments a fresh, personalized look.
Previous sewing machine experience and knowledge is required or students must take our Machine Sewing Basics class.
Our studio sews with Brother® computerized sewing machines. You’re welcome to use one of our studio machines or you can even bring your own personal machine to get better acquainted with it.
Learn the difference between ruffles and flounces and how to create each style using fabric and sewing techniques. We’ll cover measuring, gathering, placement, and attaching ruffles to garments for a polished finish. You’ll practice adding unique details to your own clothing while learning how to customize future sewing projects.
WEEKDAYS | 6:30PM–8:30PM
Please bring at least two preloved oversized shirts you’d like to transform. Choose garments that could use a fun refresh or creative update. Feel free to bring your own fabric as well if you’d like to use it to create a custom ruffle detail.
