In this three-hour, one-time Quilted Stocking class, you’ll learn how to quilt top fabric using a walking foot, and assemble a lined stocking with a cuff.
Note: This class focuses on quilting top fabric and assembling a finished stocking. Patchwork piecing is not covered. If you’d like to learn how to patchwork join us for our Quilting Basics Class.
Learn how to prepare a quilt sandwich and secure the layers for quilting. You’ll learn how to topstitch your fabric using a walking foot before assembling your stocking with a lining and cuff.
Weekends | 9:00 AM–12:00 PM
1 yard of cotton fabric for the outer stocking
1 yard of cotton fabric for the lining
¼ yard of cotton fabric for the cuff
Batting will be provided by the studio.
Previous sewing machine experience and knowledge is required or students must take our Machine Sewing Basics Class.
Our studio sews with Brother® computerized sewing machines. You’re welcome to use one of our studio machines, or bring your own functioning personal machine to get better acquainted with it.
If minimum enrollment is not met, we will notify you and offer your choice of a full refund or rescheduling to another class date.
